Been a long long time since I posted … the reason is simple - I was so deep in work, there was no time for anything else. So what all has been happening? Well, some of this work is visible in the shape of IndiMix – the largest IT event yet in India. We reached out to well over 200,000 people thru web and mobile streaming with SteveB himself outlining Microsoft’s vision for the Web in India. The session recordings will be put up online soon. As to what happened at the event, there is a lot of blog coverage, so I will not repeat it here.
Besides, we have been doing the TechEdge modules for Mobile and Embedded Development which I mentioned about in the last post. The next module on mobile development kicks off next week, and we will be discussing Game Development on Windows Mobile. With the success we have seen with this program, we will be broadbasing it to cover the whole dev-platform as well as system infrastructure technologies. You should see this happening from Jan onwards.
Currently underway is the India Security Summit – we are talking about Dev Security from multiple perspectives: Top Ten Techniques for Writing Resilient Code, Cryptography Basics, Securing Web-Applications and Digital Identity. We are done with Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. Delhi is next – on 24th Nov at Hotel Ashoka.
Lastly, we have been working on is our community programs in India and how they can be better streamlined. I will not disclose anything here, but there is a number of very exiciting things we will be starting in the next couple of months – stay tuned!
